Content Management System Login

By default the SEO Content Management System has a login link in the header, however I removed it in this case due to our own familiarity with the system. Our client installations have a custom website design that we create the content management system skin from, which may or may not have a global login link. In order to get to the CMS login form here, I simply put the item name in the address bar, "/login_form", and the page loads with a simple form with username and password fields. The system reserves the value "login_form" for its own purposes, so you cannot name any folder item with that reserved value.

Once you log into your SEO Content Management System, you will be shown a confirmation page of successful login and you can click a link that will take you to your homepage. Here you will see the management features and toolbars to start using the cms features to build, maintain and optimize your website. You access all of the CMS features right here from your website. This is the same when a custom website design is applied to your CMS, you will see the same admin options and tool bar in your website's pages. You will also notice a recent changes element that shows what CMS items have been changed with a date stamp.

There are standard pasword retrieval and user management features. Throughout these demonstrations the primary administrator account is being used, so all features and tools are available. Each client organization is different and we will create a user management plan for you. This means we can allow access to selective areas of your site, cms functions and properties to custom user types. For example, we have a client installation that has a legal service department staff who routinely check the website content. In order to streamline legal review, we created a user type that is only allowed to access web page content on the general website sections. By doing this, we decreased the turn around time for simple updates from the legal department, while removing the vulnerability to an accidental property change or page function being invoked unintentionally. There really isn't a limit as to how many layers of user management we can employ using the SEO Content Management System.
