SEO Content Management System - Uploading Images

Uploading images to your SEO Content Management System is easy. Simply open the folder you wish to upload images to, in this case, I am using the /images/ folder and I am working within the /demo/ subfolder, which contains all of the screenshots and thumbnails for the feature demonstration. Using the CMS admin toolbar, I choose to add an item and select image.

The only required fields to upload an image is a title for your graphic and then a file. You can upload many file types, which can be further controlled through SEO Content Management System settings, or through custom development so that additional functionality can be created for your installation.

Choosing your image requires the use of a browser file dialog - something that I am sure, we are all familiar with. Simply browse your hard drive, locate the image you want to upload and continue. This will automatically upload the file using the filename and extension you had on your hard drive, as well as label the item in the CMS with the title you assigned.

Publishing your image is done the same as a page or folder. After you upload your image you will be in view mode, looking at the confirmation. You simply use the CMS admin toolbar and change the state of the item. This can be done through the folder contents as well - and you can upload images and change their state, publish in this case, all at once to save even more time.

Once your image is uploaded into the SEO Content Management System, you can access it just as you would any other file on the Internet. While creating, editing and optimizing the website, images can be inserted using the HTML image tag. We prefer to always edit in HTML mode, so all of the feature demonstrations will be done using the HTML editor.
